Reviews are rolling in for my upcoming novel #VANDEATH (out September 22nd in print, ebook and audio), including this awesome new one from FanFiAddict.
Morgan and Jasper’s perfect van life is an illusion, carefully cultivated for social media. They’re deeply unhappy and on the verge of breaking up. While on a trip to Death Valley, the influencer couple finds themselves on a collision course with a psychotic killer, the natural perils of the desert, AND all the relationship problems they’ve been avoiding for months. Will they escape, and to paraphrase The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, what’s going to be left of them???
Let’s see what reviewer Michael Patrick Hicks had to say about #VANDEATH: “100% pure slasher goodness...Asman keeps things tense and tightly-wound."
Hey, that’s pretty good, right? If you’re into fast-paced horror, you don’t want to miss this. AND you can preorder right now, which scores you a signed/personalized copy AND an exclusive sticker pack and mini-flashlight (while supplies last).
Or, if you prefer ebook or audio, you can preorder those formats here.
Preorders are SUPER CRITICAL for authors. Booksellers will order more copies of a book if they notice a strong preorder trend, and publishers will put more effort into promotion. If you dig my work—which I’m guessing you do, since you’re subscribed to my mailing list haha—consider preordering, I’ll be forever grateful!
Oh, and in case you missed the previous announcement, if I get 1,000 preorders I will literally get a #VANDEATH tattoo! Let’s get me inked up, people ;)
Before I go, one last pull quote from the review. Writing dual protagonists can be difficult, and one of my goals was to ensure readers would identify with both characters, rather than joining Team Jasper or Team Morgan. This is honestly one of the nicest things anyone’s ever said about my writing:
“Asman brilliantly humanizes both characters, making both equally sympathetic. We get their different points of view, their competing concerns, and their hopes…Lesser authors would perhaps feel compelled to pick a side here, or make one character stand-offish or shrewish, wanting readers to side with one or the other. Because Asman takes his time to flesh them out and give equal merit to both, we want to see them succeed together.”
Definitely want to put THAT on my wall!
#VANDEATH is out September 22nd. So GET IN THE VAN, y’all!
