Tour Recap, GOOD DOGS Giveaway, and More!

Y’all…last week was NUTS. I had an absolute blast on the MAN, F*CK THIS HOUSE (AND OTHER DISASTERS) Tour, and thanks to everyone who came out. For those of you who follow me on social media (@thebrianasman on all platforms, I’m mostly Insta and Facebook these days) you’re probably seen some pics, but if you haven’t, I’ll be recapping a bit down below.

GIVEAWAY!

BUT FIRST….Blackstone is doing an amazing giveaway right now., If you buy a print copy of MAN, F*CK THIS HOUSE (AND OTHER DISASTERS) from any retailer, you can get a FREE copy of the GOOD DOGS audio book! It’s a smoking hot deal. Oh, and with the holidays coming up, you can grab print copies for your friends and family and send them audio codes as well, ensuring everyone has a spooky holiday season!

So to recap:

STEP 1: Pick up a print copy from any retailer. Artifact Books has signed copies you can order, and the owner has a BLOOD MERIDIAN tattoo, so you’ve got multiple reasons to support them. Or you can order here, but def recommend you support indie bookstores if you can!

STEP 2: Cut a hole in the box…wait, NO, just fill out this form. That’s it. The first 30 folks to submit will get a free audio book. And btw, if I didn’t mention it, the audio production is INCREDIBLE.

ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!

Also, you can head on over to BookFunnel and grab a bunch of FREE cool horror ebooks to load up your tablet this spooky season, from writers like Rektok Ross (SKI WEEKEND), Viggy Parr Hampton (A COLD NIGHT FOR ALLIGATORS), and many more, including my own OUR BLACK HEARTS BEAT AS ONE!

MAN, F*CK THIS TOUR

And finally, the tour was SO much fun! I started off at Mysterious Galaxy here in San Diego with Philip Fracassi (oh, and they still have signed copies of both our books available to order, just ignore the event details and scroll to bottom). Then it was on to the Poisoned Pen in Arizona, where bookseller Patrick asked the tough questions of myself and Philip. I also got to see BREATHE IN, BLEED OUT author Brian McAuley, as well as writers Bridget Brave, John Baltisberger, and lots more folks. A great time was had by all.

Next up was Fright Night in Albuquerque, sponsored by Books on the Bosque, a very rad indie bookstore. Joining me onstage for a super fun panel and signing were some absolute TITANS of horror, including Clay MacLeod Chapman, CJ Leede, T. Kingfisher, Nat Cassidy, Philip Fracassi, Ramon Emerson, Jennifer Givhan, and Keith Rosson. After a delicious and hatch chili-filled lunch, the BotB team shepherded us to the National Hispanic Cultural Center, where over 200 attendees convened to watch us chat all things horror. An absolutely incredible event, and I was so honored to be a part of it.

And finally, I ended up back in San Diego at the aforementioned Artifact Books. My fellow Blackstone author and San Diegan Jonathan Maberry and I teamed up to celebrate the release of my book and the latest Necrotek novel (also available signed from Artifact!). We had a wide-ranging discussion about weird fiction, Lovecraft, ghost stories, bucket list properties we want to write for, and much, much more!

All in all, the tour was incredible, and I am so grateful to my fellow authors, gracious bookstore hosts, and all the attendees. Up next, come see me at the Louisiana Book Festival!
